JS polymer cement waterproof coating is a commonly used waterproof coating with a wide range of applications and excellent quality. It has been widely recognized by the market since its launch. While being widely used, whether the construction method is a major factor affecting the waterproof effect.

Construction process of JS polymer cement waterproof coating

1. What are the steps of waterproof construction?

2. What are the key points of waterproof construction?

The most critical step in waterproofing construction is the basic surface treatment and the waterproofing and strengthening treatment of fine nodes. The quality of the grass-roots level is the basis of waterproofing quality, the detailed strengthening treatment is the key to waterproof construction, and the coating thickness is guaranteed (1.2mm).

3. How to deal with the grass-roots level?

(1) The drainage slope of the ground should meet the design requirements;

(2) The grass-roots level should be strong enough, solid, flat and sand-proof.

(3) The surface is clean, free of clear water, dust, debris and oil stains.

(4) The yin and yang angles at the junction of the flat facade should be made into uniform, flat and smooth rounded corners.

(5) Pipe fittings, sanitary ware, floor leaks, drains, etc. connected to the grass-roots layer should be installed firmly before the construction of the waterproof layer, and the sealing material should be embedded in the grooves left at the root of the pipe according to the design requirements, and the construction of the waterproof layer must be carried out;

(6) The surface of the pipe should be roughened or rust-proofed. 

4. What principles and standards should be followed when painting the waterproof layer?

(1) The paint should be accurately measured according to the mixing ratio and stirred evenly.

(2) The waterproof layer should be painted according to the principle of first the details (pipe root, drain, etc.) and then the large surface (wall and floor).

(3) Before the construction of large-area waterproofing, additional layers should be treated in the parts that are prone to water leakage, such as pipe roots, pipes, yin and yang angles, ground leakage gutters, eaves, and the junctions of different materials. First, apply the paint twice with a brush.

(4) The waterproof coating should be applied evenly without leakage. Multiple coating should be carried out after the previous coating is dry and formed (subject to the hand-to-hand, and the thickness of the coating film must meet the design requirements.

5. Is the thicker the waterproof paint, the better?

(1) The thickness of the waterproof layer should meet the design requirements.

(2) The thicker the brush, the better. It should be applied thinly many times. If the waterproof paint is too thick in a single time, it is easy to cause cracking. It is forbidden to paint too thickly at once.

6. What key links should be supervised during the construction of the waterproof layer?

(1) The waterproof part should be comprehensive;

(2) The construction of the waterproof layer should be painted strictly according to the product instructions and painted to the standard thickness;

(3) The construction process should be meticulous: the joints between the wall and the ground, the yin and yang angles, the water pipes, the floor leaks and the surroundings of sanitary ware are the key waterproof parts, and the construction must be meticulous.

7. Why do the closed water test after the waterproofing is done?

The closed water test can verify whether the waterproof function of the waterproof layer is normal. For the closed water test, the door and the outlet should be sealed. The depth of the aquifier at the highest point is not less than 50 mm, and the water storage time is not less than 24 hours. Check whether there is a leakage point.

 8. How to judge whether waterproofing is done?

Mainly through the closed water test. Vicular inspection method: open the bathroom downstairs to observe whether there are traces of water seepage or water droplets. Contact inspection method: touch the suspicious water seepage with your hand to confirm whether there is water leakage.
