Construction process | Introduction to the
The underground side wall is a high-risk area for waterproofing engineering - it is constantly affected by soil pressure and groundwater infiltration, making the base layer damp and difficult to dry. The construction space is narrow, and once there is water leakage, it is easy to form seepage, making maintenance extremely difficult. The wet laying method can precisely solve these pain points, and its advantages are particularly prominent in the construction of underground side wall rolls:
·The base layer is damp and does not need to wait for drying. The side walls are often in a slightly wet state due to groundwater and maintenance water. The wet laying method uses cement-based adhesive for direct construction, which promotes chemical bonding with concrete through moisture, saving waiting for drying and accelerating the construction period.
·Full adhesion has strong resistance to water pressure. The adhesive penetrates the capillary pores of the base layer to form mechanical locking, and is combined with chemical bonding to achieve 100% full adhesion. It can resist high water pressure and prevent water from flowing between the coil and the wall, making it easy to locate leakage points.
·Construction is suitable for narrow spaces, without the need for open flames or pungent odors. It can be operated by 1-2 people and is safer in enclosed environments such as foundation pits and pipe galleries.
·Excellent resistance to deformation and immersion, high elongation of the coil material, and the ability to stretch with slight settlement of the side wall; Adhesives are inorganic materials that remain strong even after prolonged immersion in water, significantly extending their waterproof lifespan.
At present, this process has been widely used in waterproofing engineering construction and is a common construction technique.
Introduction to Process Flow
The wet laying method takes cement-based adhesive as the core and simplifies the construction process into three steps: "scraping slurry → laying → compaction":
1. The base layer should be solid, flat, and clean, with no dust, debris, or oil stains on the surface. The internal and external corners at the junction of the flat and vertical surfaces should be made into arcs or 45 arc angles.

2. Mix the special adhesive powder: cement: water in a ratio of 1:50, and stir to form a paste (the amount of water used should be adjusted according to the weather and moisture content of the base layer on that day).
3. Pop up control lines on the base layer according to the set paving direction, and pre lay the roll material according to the pre popped reference line.
4. Maintain a certain degree of moisture on the base surface, scrape or brush a layer of blended polymer adhesive on the base surface, and remove the isolation film on the bottom of the self-adhesive roll before the polymer adhesive dries. Lay the self-adhesive roll and use tools such as scrapers or rollers to drive out the air and excess adhesive under the roll to both sides for smooth and dense laying, to prevent the scraped slurry from contaminating the self-adhesive joint. Personnel are strictly prohibited from entering within 24 hours after the installation of the roll material (during flat construction).
