Practical knowledge of waterproofing of houses and buildings
House leakage is one of the most prominent quality common diseases in construction projects. House leakage is not only related to the quality standards of the construction industry, but also has a great impact on the aesthetics of the building. If it is light, it will cause moldy walls and furniture damage, and if it is heavy, it will affect the safety of the building structure. To do a good job in waterproofing projects, we need to take into account the selection of materials, standardized construction and strict acceptance.
1. Waterproof materials: choosing the right materials is the basis of waterproofing.
The performance of waterproof materials directly determines the waterproof effect, which needs to be accurately matched according to the usage scenario.
(1) Coatings: flexibly adapt to complex scenes
It is molded with liquid brushing, which can closely fit the irregular base surface and form a seamless waterproof film.
Polyurethane waterproof coating has excellent elasticity and strong water resistance, which is suitable for long-term humid areas such as bathrooms and basements;

JS polymer cement-based waterproof coating has both rigidity and flexibility, strong adhesion, and can be used for home decoration floors and walls.

(2) Coils: the first choice for large-area projects
The sheet material has strong waterproof stability, which is suitable for large-area projects such as roof and underground waterproofing.
SBS modified asphalt waterproof coils are resistant to high and low temperatures, do not hang at high temperature, do not crack at low temperature, and adapt to different temperature areas;

Root-puncture-resistant modified asphalt waterproof coils have strong adhesion, good stability and excellent anti-puncture performance. It is the first choice for planting roofs and underground roofs.

(3) Rigid materials: take into account waterproofing and structural reinforcement
With cement as the substrate, it has both waterproof and load-bearing functions.
Cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof coatings can block concrete capillariles and cracks through chemical reactions, make concrete dense and play a waterproof effect, which is suitable for underground waterproofing projects.
2. Construction key: details determine the waterproof life
Standardized waterproof construction is the guarantee of waterproofing effect.
(1) Grass-roots treatment
Before construction, it is necessary to ensure that the grass-roots level is flat and dry, and the yin and yang angles should be polished into a circular arc to avoid stress concentration. The old wall surface must remove the original damaged waterproof layer, and it cannot be covered directly, otherwise it is easy for the empty drum to fall off.
(2) Strengthening key areas
The waterproof height of the wall of the bathroom shower area is not less than 1.8m, and the other areas are not less than 30cm; the root of the pipe and the floor leak need to be reinforced separately with a brush; the kitchen floor must be completely waterproofed. Underground engineering should adopt a multi-channel defense system of "structural self-waterproof + waterproof coil + paint", and the first-level waterproofing should not be less than three lines of defense.
3. Acceptance and maintenance
The acceptance of waterproofing projects needs to follow the specifications.
(1) Functional test
Water storage or watering tests must be done in the roof, bathroom and other areas: the water storage height of the ground is ≥20mm, which lasts for 24 hours; the watering time on the wall is not less than 30min, and it is qualified to observe that there are no wet stains on the back water surface. The ground project needs to be accepted three months after the cessation of precipitation to ensure that there is no seepage and leakage on the backwater surface of the structure.
(2) Daily maintenance to extend the service life
Before pasting the tiles, the waterproof layer should be pulled and maintained for 5-7 days. The gaps in the tiles should be filled with waterproof seams to avoid the penetration of stagnant water. Regularly check whether the roof drainage system is smooth, and the exterior wall sealant should be replaced in time after aging, which can effectively reduce the risk of leakage.
